Spring is just around the corner, so we decided to ask a few
of our office self confessed “beauty junkies” what their spring “must- have”
recommendations are.
Living Nature Vitalising Exfolliant
“I love this product in the spring!” It’s the perfect tool to
help say goodbye to winter’s dry, dull skin. After just one use my skin looks so
fresh!”
Raw Gaia’s MSM Beauty Cream
“Hands down…this is the best product to rejuvenate and repair
tired winter skin. It will also help combat the incidental sun damage you may
acquire while working on your spring tan.”
Living Nature Daily Defence with SPF 15
“As the days get longer and we spend more time out in the sun,
it’s important to remember sun protection. This product is amazing! If you have
normal to oily skin, it will double as a moisturizer and SPF in-one. However, if
your skin is more on the dry side, you may need to first apply a daily
moisturizer.”
Primavera’s Ginger Lime Body Wash & Body Lotion
“Ahhhh seriously…just
try to use either of these two products and not feel as fresh and energized as a
beautiful spring day. It’s heaven!”
John Masters Rose Foaming Face Wash
“Okay…I realize this isn’t just a spring “must-have”, but I
love this face wash. In the spring and summer when my skin is less dry, I can
actually skip on moisturizer some days because it leaves my skin so soft and
naturally moisturized. The smell is absolutely divine!”

Q. I have sensitive skin and I’m prone to breakouts. Will I be able to wear mineral foundations?
A. PoshOrganix.com only sells mineral foundations that avoid pore clogging, petroleum derived ingredients such as mineral oil and paraffin wax. As a general rule plant oils and waxes are non-comedogenic. Additionally, our mineral foundations are found to be soothing and healing for problem skin as the minerals soothe inflamed skin and have lasting oil control benefits. Since our mineral make-up doesn’t contain irritating ingredients found in conventional cosmetics such as talc, dye, perfume and bismuth oxychloride customers notice a healthy improvement in their skin .
TIPS:
Clean your cosmetic brushes regularly to ensure they are clean and bacteria free.
Use a gentle exfoliant once or twice a week (no more) to keep pores clean. Here are some great exfoliants:

Beautiful Healthy Hair on the Green
With all the focus on green energy and green products, can you take care of your
hair & help the environment? Definitely! Probably more than you think. The best
part is these tips will also improve the health of your hair.
• Wash your hair less frequently
You can start by washing your hair every other day. Depending on your hair type
you may even be able to wash as infrequently as twice a week. Your hair may seem
overly oily at first; however, given some time and your scalps oil production
will adjust. Hair care professionals are mostly in agreement that it is not
necessary and can be damaging to wash you hair daily. When you wash your hair
less frequently this provides your hair with more time to recover the natural
oils that are stripped away during the washing process. The natural oils in your
hair are the best hair product on the market for soft, shiny healthy hair.
• Limit the time in the shower
When you limit the time in the shower hot water and energy usage is being decreased. This helps the environment because water usage is down and energy is
being conserved.
• Rinse with cold water
By rinsing with cold water, hot water and energy are saved. The cold water helps
to close the pores in the skin and the follicles in the hair. This leads to
shinier and softer hair.
• Do not repeat
Most shampoo bottles suggest that you should wash your hair more than once. This
is not necessary. This extra wash cycle only strips your hair of more natural
oils and leads to shampoo waste.
• Buy hair care products that are natural & organic
Since your shampoo and conditioner are going straight down the drain, make sure
you are not sending toxic chemicals into the water supply. Natural & organic
hair care products are also much gentler thus preventing overly robbing your
hair of natural oils.
• Use recycled and biodegradable bottles
Search for hair care products that are bottled responsibly. This will help
reduce pollution and waste.
