Organic and natural skincare and makeup products have come a long way. Once thought of as only the tools of hippies, many modern products are designed with a more modern customer in mind. There are still lines that cater to a more “granola lifestyle”, and we don’t knock that! However there are some new, exciting lines that offer amazingly effective products that are both posh and luxurious. What can we say; nature and luxury are a perfect combination!

The following are some flawless examples:

Top 3 Reasons To Go Natural and Organic:

1. They Work!: Natural, organic ingredients are more nutrient dense, therefore, more potent and effective. Plant based ingredients work in harmony with your skin and body to enhance healing and regenerative potential. Each and every ingredient is designed by nature to support and nourish your skin’s health. They literally feed and nourish your skin.

2. It’s the Right Thing to Do: Natural & Organic ingredients are not tested on animals and are made using organic farming practices that keep our soil, water supply and air clean.

3. Your Skin Digs it: Skin is our largest organ and absorbs most of what we put on it (that’s what makes things like the nicotine and birth control patches work). Posh Organix does not carry skin products with any of the following commonly used but toxic ingredients:

  • Artificial Fragrances: Synthetic fragrances can be made up of many different ingredients and it is impossible to know what all the chemicals are since the label will only say “fragrance”. Known problems from these chemicals are: headache, vomiting, dizziness, rash , skin irritation and many more serious health risks. Our products are only scented with therapeutic and natural essential oils. The label will read “essential oil”.
  • Artificial Colors: Mainly used as a cheaper way to make stuff look more attractive. Commonly found in most cosmetics, you don’t need it.
  • Propylene Glycol: This solvent is highly toxic. Industrial workers are required to wear protective clothing to protect themselves from the serious health risks. It’s known to cause allergic reactions, eczema and hives. Yuck!
  • Parabens: These sneak into most products and are even found in many “natural” products. Parabens are petroleum-based which means they are made from the same stuff that runs our cars and makes plastic. Petroleum acts on skin as a thin layer of plastic that can actually seal the skin and interfere with the skins ability to breathe and renew itself. Bottom line: Not Healthy! Commonly found in lotions, moisturizers, shampoo, conditoners, and most makeup products.
  • PVP/VA Copolymer: A petroleum derived chemical commonly used in hairsprays, gels and many other cosmetics. The inhaled particles can be toxic and damage the lungs.
  • Other scary ingredients to watch out for: methylparaben, propylparaben, lauryl sulfates, larureth sulfates, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), ammonium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate (SLE), lauramide DEA, MEA, TEA, talc formaldehyde, stearalkonium chloride, mineral oil & many more.
